The owner of this lovely home wanted the feeling of a new, open concept home yet wanted to maintain some of the historic appeal. This was a challenge; older homes were built with interior structural (supporting) walls. In order to create the concept that the homeowner wanted, we completely gutted the interior – upstairs and down, and incorporated a structural steel beam to maintain structural integrity.

The upstairs bathroom is a work of art! The claw-foot tub, custom shower and that funky, chippy-paint door is a look that the homeowner loves. How unique and creative! We love doing unusual stuff…

In the kitchen, a big farmhouse sink fits in perfectly with the painted beadboard cabinets, creating a country chic feel. The owner incorporated several of her personal antique items, including the stained glass window hanging over the sink. More display area was created for collectibles by installing a dark wood shelf over the sink. Hardood flooring completes the heritage style and leather-finish granite  countertops provide a durable and functional workspace.

Add the owner’s beautiful antique furniture and rustic lighting and we have a beautiful, unique heritage home that reflects her personal style!
