This old dark kitchen was a beauty in its day. With laminate counters and well-used cabinets, it was time for a bright update.

We replaced the old hardwood with new hardwood in a similar style. We custom-built the range hood and created a feature area in the backsplash over the stove. Gorgeous granite, including a ledge in the bay window was installed for a very polished look. The dark island cabinets really make it stand out. It’s a great place for entertaining, especially with the wine fridge at the end!

White shaker cabinets create a nice contrast to the dark stained maple island. Previously, there was one large window over the stove area. We changed it out, creating two flanking windows for some nice, natural lighting and space for the range hood. Under-cabinet lighting creates an inviting and effective work area. The pendant lighting and mini-potlights over the sink really highlight these areas.

With beautiful Wolf appliances and seating for guests at the end of the island, this is a kitchen we’d love to cook and entertain in! Bet you would too.
